Yates Desygn Wins the Inaugural D HOME LABL Award
We are incredibly honored to share that Yates Desygn has been named the winner of the inaugural D HOME LABL Award for Most Beautiful Kids Space. The LABL (Live A Beautiful Life) award recognizes the design of the girl’s room in our Designer Dream project, and to be included in the very first class of LABL winners is both humbling and deeply meaningful to our team.
About the LABL Awards
The LABL Awards celebrate spaces that elevate everyday living. Homes that are designed with intention, beauty, and heart. That ethos aligns closely with how we approach our work, especially when designing spaces for children. A child’s room is more than a place to sleep; it’s where imagination unfolds, routines are learned, creativity takes shape, and memories are made. Being recognized for a space that supports all of that is an honor we don’t take lightly.
Designing a Kids Space With Longevity and Imagination
The Designer Dream girl’s room was envisioned as a space that could grow alongside the child. It is whimsical without feeling fleeting, layered yet calm, and deeply personal. We focused on creating a room that felt playful and joyful while still maintaining a sense of sophistication and longevity. Thoughtful color choices, tactile materials, and curated details came together to create a space that feels magical but grounded, imaginative yet livable. It’s a room designed not just to be admired, but to be truly lived in.
At Yates Desygn, we believe the most beautiful spaces tell a story. In kids’ spaces especially, that story should feel nurturing, inspiring, and reflective of who they are and who they’re becoming. This project allowed us to lean into that philosophy fully, balancing function with feeling and design with heart. To have that approach recognized by D HOME is incredibly affirming.
