Yates Desygn Takes Home the 2026 LUXE RED Award for Interior Architecture, Dallas + Fort Worth Region
We are incredibly proud to announce that Yates Desygn has been named a winner in the 2026 LUXE RED Awards, earning top honors in the Interior Architecture category for the Dallas + Fort Worth region. Presented annually by LUXE Interiors + Design, the RED Awards (Residential Excellence in Design) are the premier platform celebrating the best in residential architecture, interior design, built environment, and landscape architecture across the country, as well as outstanding new product introductions. The winning project is the husband’s office from our Dallas-based project, Designer’s Dream.
This recognition makes Yates Desygn two-time LUXE RED Award winners, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

What Are the LUXE RED Awards?
The LUXE RED Awards are among the most prestigious honors in the residential design industry. Each year, LUXE Interiors + Design brings together a distinguished jury of architects, designers, and creative leaders from across the country to evaluate submissions and recognize excellence across a wide range of residential categories, from interior design and architecture to landscape and product innovation.
The Interior Architecture category specifically celebrates full-home projects or individual spaces that showcase exceptional custom millwork, built-ins, staircases, and structural features. It is a category that rewards not just beauty, but the craft and ingenuity that live beneath the surface of a beautifully designed space.
The Winning Project: Designer’s Dream
Designer’s Dream is a nearly 19,000 square-foot residence in Dallas’s Preston Hollow neighborhood, a home defined by traditional grandeur and layered with highly personal touches. The project was a hybrid endeavor, blending furnishing, architectural enhancements, and deeply considered custom work to create a space that truly reflects the lives of the clients who call it home.

The award-winning space is the husband’s office, found off a secluded patio and conceived as a masculine retreat for both work and play. From the moment we began designing this room, our goal was to create a sanctuary: somewhere the homeowner could focus, unwind, and share good moments with friends.
Designing with the Client in Mind
The office is anchored by warm wood paneling and wrapped in custom cabinetry, a space that immediately communicates intention and care. One of the most personal elements of the design centers on the homeowner’s cigar humidor. Working closely with our cabinetmaker, we developed custom shelving specifically configured so the client could comfortably sit back, relax, and enjoy time with guests. It’s a detail that is equal parts functional and atmospheric, and one that speaks to our broader philosophy: that great design should always serve the way a client actually lives.
But perhaps our favorite detail in the room is one that most visitors might not immediately notice. In a subtle nod to the husband’s tech firm, we lacquered the interiors of the custom cabinets in the precise green of his company’s brand color. It’s a quiet flourish, intimate, personal, and entirely intentional. For us, this kind of detail is what separates a beautiful room from a truly meaningful one. We are always looking for ways to weave the important aspects of our clients’ lives into the spaces we create for them, and here, that meant honoring both the man and the professional in a single stroke of color.

The result is a room that feels like him: refined, grounded, and layered with story.
A Note of Gratitude
We are deeply grateful to Jill Cohen, Editor-in-Chief of LUXE Interiors + Design, the 2026 LUXE RED Awards judging panel, and the entire team at LUXE for this honor. Your commitment to elevating the conversation around residential design continues to inspire our industry and the work we do every day.
We also want to extend our warmest congratulations to all of our fellow 2026 RED Award winners. It is a privilege to be recognized alongside such talented and dedicated creative professionals.
Finally, none of this would be possible without the trust of our clients, the dedication of our team, and the talent of the collaborators who help bring our visions to life.
