Yates Desygn is looking for an Architectural CAD Designer to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Designers, our Client Team, and our Operations Manager, who all share your commitment to excellence. Together, you’ll push the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of design, creating environments that not only meet but exceed client expectations.
The Role
As an Architectural CAD Designer at Yates Desygn, you will play a crucial role in realizing the visions of our designers. Your primary responsibility will be converting detailed design concepts into meticulously accurate construction drawings using AutoCAD. This is a technical role where your attention to detail and precision will be paramount in ensuring the success of each project.
You will be deeply involved in managing the technical aspects of various projects, working in close collaboration with the operations manager and other members of the design team. Your day-to-day tasks will include redlining drawings, ensuring that all deliverables are on schedule, and maintaining the technical quality of construction documentation.
Additionally, while experience with graphic presentations and 3D renderings in SketchUp is a plus, it is not mandatory. The primary focus will be on your proficiency with AutoCAD and your ability to quickly adapt to our construction documentation methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be vital as you interact with various stakeholders, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of excellence.

Managing all technical aspects of a project
Collaborating with the operations manager and design team members
Staying on task and schedule for deliverables
Redlining Drawings
Graphic Presentations / 3D Renderings (SketchUp) is a plus
Salary & Benefits
$45,000 - $55,000 DOE
Monthly Insurance contribution of $200
2 weeks PTO (after 6 months of employment)
2-week additional paid seasonal break (Spans Christmas and New Year’s Day)

Minimum requirements
Proficient in AutoCAD (SketchUp is a plus)
Experience working with Architectural and/or Interior Design Firms
Open to learning how we do Construction Documentation (CDs)
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Microsoft 365 experience
Ability to work from our Dallas office (this is an in-person role; no remote workers)
3+ Years of experience with AutoCAD
(We use AutoCAD 2024 and upgrade every year)
