Kips Bay Dallas

Kips Bay Dallas

When the Inner Circle became a sanctuary: For the 2021 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas, Yates Desygn reimagined one of the home’s most unexpected features—a basement—as a prohibition-era-inspired sanctuary. Titled Inner Circle, the space reflected Bryan and Mike Yates’ signature approach: interiors that were visually expressive and attuned to lifestyle. The result was a hidden retreat layered in intimacy, warmth, and quiet opulence.

Guests descended through a stairwell enveloped in hand-painted suede walls—developed with Ever Atelier—in rich tones of Bordeaux and soft neutrals. Below, the expansive layout revealed three zones: a sculptural living area defined by a curved B&B Italia sofa and Breccia Nuvole marble fireplace; a fully appointed kitchen with Cambria stone surfaces, custom Helene’s cabinetry, and a flapper-inspired chandelier by Wired Custom Lighting; and a moody game nook beside a mirrored niche.

Rich wood paneling, curated textures, and Benjamin Moore hues added visual depth. With integrated systems by Bravas, Inner Circle balanced timeless glamour with modern functionality—becoming a true space of escape, indulgence, and design intent.
