Bryan and Mike Yates to Speak at High Point Market

Bryan Yates and Mike Yates of Yates Desygn will be speaking at the upcoming High Point Market this April as part of Vanguard Furniture’s Spring Market programming.

Hosted in collaboration with Vanguard Furniture, the conversation will focus on navigating designer show houses and sustaining creative clarity in environments that demand both speed and precision.

Kips Bay Dallas 2025 Yates Desygn

Lessons from Two Kips Bay Dallas Show Houses

Drawing on their experiences participating in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas in both 2021 and 2025, Bryan and Mike will share lessons learned across two very different moments in the studio’s evolution.

Their 2021 show house project marked an early opportunity to engage with the national design spotlight in Dallas. It was a moment defined by experimentation, collaboration, and the challenge of creating a highly immersive environment within the constraints of a temporary installation.

By contrast, their 2025 participation reflected a more mature studio perspective, shaped by years of refined process, deeper industry relationships, and a clearer understanding of how show house experiences can influence long-term design thinking.

Navigating the Full Show House Experience

The session will explore the complete arc of participating in a major designer show house, from application strategy and concept development through installation, public engagement, and eventual de-installation.

Bryan and Mike will also share practical insights for designers looking to make the most of these opportunities, including how to balance creative ambition with logistical realities and how to build meaningful relationships with collaborators, manufacturers, and media throughout the process.

Continuing Industry Dialogue at High Point Market

High Point Market remains one of the most significant global gatherings for the interior design profession. Events like this create space for designers, manufacturers, editors, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and reflect on how the discipline continues to evolve.

For Yates Desygn, contributing to conversations such as these reflects an ongoing commitment to thoughtful leadership, collaborative learning, and staying connected to the broader creative community.

The session will take place during the Spring Market in April. Additional details and scheduling information can be found via High Point Market’s official event listings.
