The Good Life

The Good Life

A colorful retreat for modern family living: Yates Desygn was enlisted to reimagine this vibrant Dallas residence for an active family of seven seeking a stylish yet functional retreat. The project involved a partial renovation of the home’s main living floor—approximately 1,500 square feet—along with the addition of a 1,100-square-foot screened-in outdoor patio designed for year-round entertaining. Embracing an elegant yet colorful design direction, Yates Desygn set out to blend modern traditional elements with artfully crafted spaces that encouraged family togetherness without sacrificing moments of solitude and retreat.

The clients sought a fresh perspective on key areas, focusing on updates to the kitchen and game room. Strategic architectural modifications opened up the layout, enhancing natural light and connectivity throughout. Custom millwork and select furnishings added personality and tailored comfort.

The resulting home balances warmth and sophistication, seamlessly transitioning from cozy family living to lively gatherings. From curated textures to thoughtful spatial planning, every detail reflects Yates Desygn’s commitment to creating interiors that are not only beautiful, but also deeply attuned to how families live today.
