A large family of Anglophiles desired a home that made them feel as if they were living in one of their favorite British hotels. With primary colors, touches of gold, and well-appointed fabrics, the Yates Desygn team created cozy communal spaces the family can together enjoy. In the living room, wall-to-wall paneling creates a neutral backdrop for the room’s sumptuous furnishings along with the homeowner’s baby grand piano. The paneling is continued into the dining room, but the Yates Desygn team lowered the paneling and applied a Phillip Jeffries grasscloth wallcovering above in a vertical pattern to visually heighten the ceiling. In the pub-like game room, the design team created a custom, oversized, patterned rug to layer underneath the pool table.
